Gamification in Higher Education-a Model Skype Session
Gamification refers to the use of a pedagogical system that was developed within a gaming design but which is implemented within a non-game context (Marczewski, 2012). It has, in recent years, emerged as a pedagogical approach that can improve intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, engagement and even change behavior. The core component of games is that they are fun and provide a form of “edutainment” for students. We will hear about one such case from AUB over Skype.
